“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
Education is the primary step for achieving maximum human ability, cultivating an equitable and promoting National development. Education plays the pivotal role in shaping the minds of the children. Undoubtedly, it adds to the quality of an individual life. Education acts as the key to unlock the knowledge, wisdom and a guide to change the life of a child/individual. Education is not a privilege/ luxury but its necessity and a Fundamental Right. Education helps to build up a better world/society. An educated individual will be able to change his life by using the knowledge/morals/ wisdom, which he/she has gained through the process of Education, which inturn can be given to the family and at macro level, it helps to improve the economic situation of the Nation/world. It helps an individual to learn and grow personally and professionally.
Education is a blooming process of a small flower to a delicious fruit, the edible part can be considered as the knowledge of the educator, which inturn helps to develop the community/nation.
Recognizing the importance of Education, the Government of India has enforced Right to Education Act, 2009 as a Fundamental Right (Article 21A) through eighty sixth amendment in 2002. It was a milestone for promoting compulsory primary Education to the children aiming at the age of 6 to 14 years.
When we look at the Global level, You might have heard of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), formulated by the United Nations, an international organization aiming to maintain international peace and security. The Sustainable Development Goal 4 talks about Quality Education and aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities to all”
Though education is a major part of an individual, it is discouraging to note that India has ranked 145th position out of 191 countries in the Education Index. Isn’t that miserable?
